(Par: 3) "Los Robles"
(spanish for oak trees) is named for the 100-year-old oak trees by
the green. A careless shot on this short par 3 can produce some high
scores, especially if the approach is buried in the sand bunker on
the right. The bunker is deeply banked with soft sand and when hit
with a shot coming in with a high trajectory will usually leave a
ball that settles deep in the sand. A blast from that lie can result
in a ball coming to rest in another bunker just behind the green
and a very fast, downhill approach to the green. There is yet another
sand bunker guarding the left side of the green and a lateral water
hazard fronting the green.
